Mike McCauley
Personal Trainer (Boss Man)

Mike discovering his blue-steel look….I’m the co-owner of Mint Health and Fitness – so it’s in my interest that you get the maximum benefit from us, and come back for more! In my twenty years as a personal trainer (and still kickin ass) I’ve worked with a wide range of clients – from people with physical and mental disabilities to top New Zealand sports representatives and even movie stars. Everyone gets the same level of commitment from me – one hundred per cent – and so will you. With only a few permanent slots available, bookings are essential. Coffee is a passion (long black please) and my drug of choice so many benefits so little calories.

One of the greatest moments in life is realising that two weeks ago your body couldn’t do what it just did.

Josh Keegan

I am a local Cantabrian and with a degree in sports & exercise science. I enjoy lifting heavy things up, then putting them back down, over and over again. Fitness and general health are fairly neglected nowadays, yet it is extremely important which is why I see the value in providing thoughtfully individualized programs for people of all walks of life.

Becoming the best version of yourself is life altering and what I enjoy most about my work is seeing that quiet look of determination in the mind of someone who has said “enough with mediocre, I want results”. While change is not a four letter word, the reaction to is usually is. However, exercise can be enjoyable. The close relationship between challenge and reward usually means fun gets left out in the cold but I believe all three are equally important.

Jane Syme

I have completed my studies in Nutritional Science, which along with my previous experience in the health and fitness industry, has given me knowledge and skills to help people feel better through nutrition and lifestyle choices.
I am passionate about improving client’s health and wellbeing, by working together to provide a treatment plan that will achieve results. This will mean looking at all aspects of the client’s life including diet, exercise, stress management and recreation to take a holistic approach to reaching their goals.

Life is all about balance, and getting this balance right will enable you to enjoy a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Tony Gibling
Personal Trainer (The Detail Dude)

Being a MINT member made a big difference in my life, and now, as a MINT trainer I want to make a difference to yours.
I have aged but not matured so says my wife who said I should act my age. I have a quirky sense of humour and love the idea of helping with health related issues.
In my illustrious lifespan, I have been a bit Sporty wise, rugby, squash, judo, road cycling, and tramping – walking the “tour de Mont Blanc” is a highlight. Right now, I am mastering table tennis, love to try new things.
This has been a left field change of career as I have been the corporate guy managing budgets, had my own successful business, (managed my way into the stress related health issues). And although a complete change I didn’t realise until recently how much I would really get into this side of the Fitness industry.

I have been involved with a variety of clients from the novice,  to the elderly  over the last 5 years. What other job can you get to make someones life be the best they can be.  With my outgoing personality I love to have fun with my PT sessions while providing the skill and training in a professional way.

My Background in Graphic design and artistry might allow you to see me around the Art and craft markets in Canterbury, I may even have my beloved pug “Melda” with me.

Milo is our honorary member liaison and sometimes bootcamp trainer. His position as concierge at the door means that he welcomes the members and clients to Mint personally. He occasionally takes the team for a run around the park. Milo has two speeds flat out (moving like the wind after the ball) and “flat out”(spread eagle at the door)

Milo’s favourite saying is “throw the ball….throw the ball” woof
